"This painting portrays the Tree of Life without leaves or fruit, in the season of Winter. Bare branches stretch outwards to the heavens and the roots twist into the Earth below. The duality of day and night are divided by the tree's form. Above, the left side is ablaze in the colors of a setting sun and on the right side, stars streak across the midnight blue sky like a meteor shower."
